Carrier, Axe, Camp

This OD or khaki web canvas carrier for the camp axe was adopted in late 1943.   It is more angular than the M- 1910 hatchet cover, but the easiest way to tell the two apart is the extra canvas strip on the back which forms a belt loop.   The belt loop strip is highlighted in grey on the back side drawing (below right). This cover continued to be used into the 1960s.   I need a cover dated 1943, 1944, or 1945.
