Strap, Quick-Release, Packboard, Type II

The popularity of the quick-release strap for the plywood packboard lead the Quartermaster General's office to develop a similar strap for use with the original "Yukon" style packboard. The new strap, called the "Strap, Quick- release, Packboard, Type II," used the same buckle and hook as the original version, but the web strap was cut into two pieces with a D-ring sewn to each end. The short piece was permanently attached to the buckle, but the long piece with the hook was separate.
